About our last wildlife watching tour in Abruzzo region.

While we were tracking the Apennine Wolf (Canis lupus italicus), we immediately noticed a pair of Foxes (Vulpes vulpes) hunting in a grassland. After a few seconds, we realized that one of the foxes, unaware, was observed with interest by a young Wolf. This, after a few minutes of stalking, it tried to attack the animal and for its misfortune (but fortunately for the Fox), not successfully.
Witnessing an interaction of this kind, between two such beautiful species, has left the whole group breathless (including those who have been observing wildlife for decades).

The last few months have been very positive for us as regards the observation of European Carnivores: Iberian Lynx in Andalusia, Wildcat in Greece and Appennine Wolf in Italy!
