Guided by an ornithologist, we will explore the Villa Comunale, a place of strategic importance for nesting, wintering and migratory birds, which find refuge and food among the tree-lined flowerbeds of the park. We will learn to know and recognize the most characteristic birds of the city environments, but also those who prefer the marine and coastal environment.
The coast area facing the promenade is in fact considered an excellent sighting point for numerous species, both common (such as Yellow-legged Gull and Great Cormorant) and more unusual (such as Sandwich Tern, Yelkouan Shearwater and Common Kingfisher). The walk will end on the main terrace of Castel dell’Ovo, where participants will be able to enjoy the beauty of the place and at the same time, thanks to the privileged position, it will be possible to observe both seabirds and birds of prey and corvids overflighting the hilly area of Naples .
To facilitate the observation of birds, spotting scope, binoculars and field guides will be made available to participants. We recommend that you come with: comfortable shoes, a water bottle.
