Geological-naturalistic excursion dedicated to the discovery of the karst phenomenon of Mt Terminio, one of the most important mountains of the Picentini Mountains Regional Park.
From an educational point of view, the Terminio represents a real open-air laboratory, since it is possible to observe numerous morphological elements typical of karst, which can be considered “natural monuments” (geosites) for their singularity, naturalistic relevance and scientific interest.
During the excursion, unique in its kind and suitable for everyone, the guide will lead us to the discovery of resurgences, sinkholes, karst canals, caves, sinkholes, plains and karst ponds and will teach about the environmental importance and the fragility of these particular environments.
Equipment required: hiking boots, backpack, at least 1.5 liters of water, suitable and waterproof clothing,.
Recommended equipment: camera, trekking poles.
