Umbria boasts of being one of the regions with the largest forest cover in Italy, enclosing a territorial mosaic where the woods set meadows and small medieval villages and where nature still reigns supreme. In particular, southern Umbria, being rich in valleys and carbonate massifs, such as the Martani mountains and the Valnerina, has diversified habitats within a few kilometers.
Thanks to these characteristics, the area hosts both species linked to freshwater environments, and species that live in meadows and woodlands. These peculiarities make the area excellent for macro photography and observations of wildlife.
This workshop will in fact focus on close-up photography and the different techniques that embrace it, articulated in lessons from home and on the field.
- Day 1: Online lesson – introduction to wildlife and macro photography. Equipment, techniques and principles of ethics.
- Day 2: Field lesson.
- Day 3: Field lesson.
- Day 4: Online lesson – review with comments on the shots taken during the workshop and post-production principles.
