Villa Doria Pamphilj, with an extension of 184 hectares, is among the largest urban parks in Rome. With its many environments – including gardens, wooded and meadow areas and lakes – the Villa represents an ideal site for birdwatching, hosting an extraordinary number of bird species throughout the year, including nesting, migratory and wintering ones. .

During the morning, accompanied by a zoologist, we will learn to know and recognize some of the most representative bird species that share the city spaces with us and – with a little luck – we will try to observe some less common ones for the city.

If the main focus will be on birdwatching, there will be opportunities to spot other animals, learn the importance of city greenery for local biodiversity and some of the problems linked with it, including alien species.
